Home for Holiday is a holiday-home directory established in 2014 and based in Devon, United Kingdom. We list holiday properties and connect travellers directly with owners.

We only collect personal information that you choose to provide — for example, when you complete our enquiry form. This may include your name, email address, phone number and any message you send us. We use this information solely to respond to your enquiry.
Under UK GDPR we rely on legitimate interests to handle enquiries — specifically, our interest in responding to people who contact us and in discussing listings with property owners. Where you ask us about a service, we may also rely on taking steps at your request before entering into a contract. You can object to our use of your information at any time using the contact details below.
We keep enquiry correspondence for 24 months, after which it is deleted, unless we need to keep it longer to meet a legal or accounting obligation or to deal with a dispute.
All properties featured are booked independently via the property owner’s own website. When you visit an owner’s website, or use our links for flights and car hire, you are subject to that third party’s privacy policy. We are not responsible for the content or practices of external sites. Some property owners are based outside the UK, so contacting them directly may involve transferring your details overseas — that transfer is between you and the owner, and their own policy applies.
Buying a directory unlock does not create an account with us, and we do not keep a customer database. There is no password, and nothing you can forward to somebody else. These records exist:
We do not log which properties you open, and we do not keep a list of your devices.
Our lawful basis is performance of a contract with you: without this information we cannot give you the access you paid for.
Stripe keeps the payment record for as long as it is required to, and we keep records needed for tax and accounting for six years, as required by law. The sign-in code record deletes itself within ten minutes. Beyond those, there is nothing for us to delete, because there is nothing else stored.

If you unlock the directory we set one strictly necessary cookie so the site knows your access is valid on your next page. It holds your email address and the date your access ends, signed so it cannot be altered, and it is required for the service to function, so it does not need consent. It expires on its own about a month after your access does, and signing out removes it immediately.
This website uses only essential cookies required for it to function. We do not use tracking or advertising cookies.
